Editorial Team

The Advances in Geochemistry and Cosmochemistry Editorial Team is structured around Executive Editors and Handling Editors, and supported by the Function Teams.

Executive Editors are split between Production Editors who are directly involved in manuscript handling and assessment, and Coordinating and Community Editors who are tasked with overall journal management and liaising with the scientific community. Production Editors can assess new submissions before assigning manuscripts to Handling Editors if satisfactory.

Handling Editors manage the peer review process. Once peer review is completed, they assess reviewer comments and make a recommendation to Production Editors. Final decisions are made by Production Editors. Note that Coordinating and Community Editors will, on occasion, act as Production Editors if their expertise is relevant and conflict of interest arise with other Production Editors.

In addition to the Editors, AGC relies on the Function Teams for copyediting, social media management, EDIA/Ethics guidance, ECR mentoring, and technical support (e.g., website maintenance).
