Editorial Team

The editorial team is structured around Executive Editors and Handling editors. Executive editors are split between production editors who are directly involved in manuscript handling and assessment, and coordinating and community editors who will be tasked with overall journal management and liaising with scientific community.

Production editors can assess new submission before assigning manuscripts to handling editors if satisfactory. Handling Editors manage the peer review process. Once peer review is completed, they assess reviewers comment and make a recommendation to production editors. Final decision is made by  production editors.

Note that coordinating and community editors will, on occasion, act as production editors if their expertise is relevant and conflict of interest arise with other production editors.

In addition to the editors, AGC relies on the Function Teams for copyediting, social media, EDIA & ethics, ECR mentoring, and technical support.

Marc-Alban Millet

Marc-Alban Millet is the Coordinating Editor at AGC.  He is a high temperature geochemist specializing in the application of heavy stable isotope systems.

Community Editor

Johanna Marin-Carbonne

Johanna Marin-Carbonne is the Community Editor at AGC. Her research interests rely on better constraining the environmental conditions of the Early Earth, especially the redox conditions as well as the link between these conditions and the evolution of microbial life.

Production Editors

James Darling

James Darling is a Production Editor for AGC. He is a high temperature geochemist, specializing in combined microstuctural, geochronological and isotopic analysis of Earth and planetary materials.

Ryan Ickert

Ryan Ickert is a Production Editor at AGC.  He is a high temperature isotope geochemist and geochronologist.

Kate Kiseeva

Kate Kiseeva

Kate is an Assistant Curator at the American Museum of Natural History in New York, USA. In 2012 she received her PhD in experimental petrology from the Australian National University, Canberra, Australia. Kate is an igneous and experimental petrologist whose main research interests include the deep carbon cycle, metasomatism in the cratonic mantle, distribution of trace elements during mantle melting and mantle sulphides.

Ananya Mallik

Ananya Mallik is a Production Editor at AGC. She is an experimental petrologist and high temperature geochemist investigating the physical and chemical evolution of planetary interiors, including the Earth, at high pressures and temperatures.

Jessica Tierney

Jessica Tierney is a Production Editor at AGC. She specializes in organic geochemistry and paleoclimate reconstruction.

 Mark Torres

Mark Torres

Mark Torres is a Production Editor at AGC. He is a biogeochemist focusing on the chemistry of natural waters and the processes that regulate planetary habitability over geologic timescales.
