  • Futhark: International Journal of Runic Studies

    Futhark is a scholarly annual journal which began publication in december 2010. Futhark is a Diamond Open Access journal published in digital form, with a facility for print-on-demand.

    The periodical is an independent journal, but has as its base of operations the Runic Archives at the Museum of Cultural History, University of Oslo, and Uppsala Runic Forum at the Department of Scandinavian Languages, Uppsala University.

  • Research Reports from the Department of Human Geography

    Forskningsrapporter från Kulturgeografiska institutionen, ISSN 0347-7940, publishes research reports, working papers, academic debates and other scientific material from the Department of Human Geography at Uppsala University. The managing editor is Don Mitchell. Research reports in the series are peer reviewed by scholars at the Department of Human Geography. Working papers, academic debates and other scientific material have not undergone peer review, but are published at the discretion of the editors. The language of publication is either Swedish or English. The first contribution in the series was published in 1965.

    Potential contributions should be submitted through the Uppsala University publishing platform, journals.uu.se.

  • Advances in Geochemistry and Cosmochemistry

    Advances in Geochemistry and Cosmochemistry is a community-led diamond open access journal that aims to publish innovative and globally relevant articles in Geochemistry and Cosmochemistry. Regional studies put in the context of a wider research question will also be considered.

    Articles published in Advances in Geochemistry and Cosmochemistry are both free to read and free to publish. Authors retain all copyrights of the published material under CC BY 4.0 licence.

    We welcome all contributions that use geochemical data and models to study chemical, physical and biological processes on Earth and other planetary bodies.

  • De Lege

    De lege is a publication series from the Faculty of Law in Uppsala. The purpose of the series is to communicate law-related research. No subject in the field of law is beyond the scope of De lege. Examples include Legal History, Legal Philosophy, Public International Law, Criminal Law, Private Law, Civil and Criminal Procedural Law, Public Law, European Law, Environmental Law and Fiscal Law.

  • Eranos - Acta philologica Suecana

    Eranos publishes original scholarly papers on Greek and Latin philology, including Medieval Latin, Neo-Latin and Byzantine Philology, and on Antiquity and Byzantine Studies in general. We welcome contributions in English, Latin and the Scandinavian languages.

  • Uppsala Papers in Economic History

    UPEH are online working papers intended to disseminate research results to other scholars in order to encourage discussion and suggestions before journal publication.

  • International Journal of Role-Playing

    The International Journal of Role-playing is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal that examines all facets of role-playing games for an audience of academics, designers, and players. The journal emphasizes analog role-playing games such as tabletop, live action role-playing (larp), and freeform, but is open to submissions analyzing adjacent phenomena and other interdisciplinary topics in relation to role-playing game studies.

  • Tidskrift för ABM

    Tidskrift för ABM (TABM) is an e-journal with the aim of publishing research, reviews, travelogues and notes in the fields of Digital Humanities, Archival Studies, Library and Information Studies and Museum and Cultural Heritage Studies. We encourage and support master and PhD students to publish with us, as well as others in the field. The journal is run by an editorial board based at the Department of ALM at Uppsala University. The journal publishes at least one issue a year, in December.

  • The Journal of Archaeology and Ancient History

    The Journal of Archaeology and Ancient history was founded in 2011 and has been published online and with open access from the start. We have now moved to this new platform and will publish all issues starting with number 31 on this page.

    Slovo is an international Open Access online peer-reviewed scholarly journal published once a year by the Department of Modern Languages at Uppsala University. The journal publishes original research articles and reviews within the field of Slavic languages, literatures and cultures. The Editorial and Advisory boards welcome submissions from Swedish, Scandinavian and international researchers.

    Orientalia Suecana is a journal publishing contributions on languages and literatures within the fields of Semitic, Iranian, Turkic, Indic, and Chinese studies.

    Orientalia Suecana adopts the Diamond Open Access publishing model that provides free access to peer-reviewed journal articles without charging article processing fees.
