About the Journal
Aims and Scope
Slovo. Journal of Slavic Languages, Literatures and Cultures publishes original research articles and reviews within the field of Slavic languages, literatures and cultures. The Editorial and Advisory boards welcome submissions from Swedish, Scandinavian and international researchers.
Publication frequency
Slovo is an online-only journal normally published once a year by the Department of Modern Languages at Uppsala University. We also welcome thematic issues, which may be published within the same year.
Peer Review Process
All research articles undergo double-blind peer-reviewing. Essays and book reviews are reviewed by the editorial team. We aim at short turn-around times, and it normally takes less than 12 months from date of receipt to publication.
Open Access Policy
Slovo has been publishing online-only open access since 2010. Slovo provides open access to all its content, licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 License. The journal has no article submission charges or article processing fees.
Slovo promotes FAIR principles for scientific data management and stewardship, and authors are requested to archive their data and code openly. We recommend using curated repositories, such as TROLLing.
Ethics statement
Slovo follows the publication ethics policies developed by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
