stone U 597 at Hökhuvud rectory in northeast Uppland in Sweden. The stone was first documented in 1594 and a total of seven fragments have been recorded over the centuries although only two are preserved today. A closer investigation of the earlier records results in a revised understanding of the shape and ornamentation of the stone as well as the reading and interpretation of the runic text.
